Molding Instructions
Step 1: Review the Printed Instructions or video.
Step 2: Prepare
Attach a small silicone tip (single or triple flange) to the mold.
Confirm it is securely attached by gently pulling.
Triple flange tips provide a tighter seal; single flange tips offer more comfort.
Step 3: Heat the Water
Microwave: Boil 3–4 inches of water in two ceramic or glass cups.
Kettle: Boil water and fill two cups with 3–4 inches each.
Do not microwave molds.
Do not use paper, plastic, or Styrofoam cups.
Step 4: Soften the Mold
Place one mold in each cup (do not put both in the same cup).
Let soak in hot water for 5 minutes.
Remove mold with a metal spoon and let cool for 30 seconds.
Step 5: Insert +Isolation Back Plug
Choose the left or right mold.
Insert the +Isolation Back Plug into the mold.
Step 6: Insert Earpiece
Place the assembled mold into your ear.
Align the tip with your ear canal and firmly press on the Back Plug.
Ensure the mold is deeply and comfortably inserted.
Step 7: Shape
Use your fingertip (not fingernails) to shape the mold into the concha (bowl) of your ear.
Smooth the surface for a clean, secure fit.
Step 8: Cure
Leave the earpiece in your ear for 5 minutes to fully set.
Press on the Back Plug every 30 seconds to maintain pressure and ensure a strong seal.
Step 9: Remove
Remove the mold and allow to fully cool.
Insert your acoustic tube (not included) into the +Isolation Back Plug as needed.
Step 10: Repeat for Second Ear
Repeat Steps 4–9 using the remaining mold and Back Plug.
Fit and Molding Tips
Insert the tip deeply into the ear canal first, then shape the mold.
Use a mirror or get help shaping the outer mold.
Start with a smaller silicone tip, then swap for the correct size after molding.
If any part feels hard or uncomfortable, remove the Back Plug and remold.
Each ear may require a different size tip or flange type.
Decibullz molds are fully remoldable—repeat as needed for ideal fit.
Cleaning Instructions
Remove the Back Plug before cleaning.
