Can I re-mold my earpieces if I mess up?Updated 16 days ago
Yes, you can safely re-mold your Decibullz Custom Molded Percussive Shooting Filters as many times as needed until you get the perfect fit. Whether the initial shape feels off or your ears change over time, the Thermo-Fit material is designed for repeated use.
How to re-mold your earpieces:
Remove the canal tips and percussive filter back plugs from the molded earpieces. Only the molds should go into hot water.
Boil water and let it sit for 30 seconds after removing from heat (do not insert the molds into actively boiling water).
Place the custom molds in the hot water for 5 minutes. They will soften but will not melt.
Remove the molds using a metal spoon or tongs and let them cool for about 30 seconds.
Replace the tips and back plugs and and make sure they are secure and will not fall off.
Insert into your ears and gently press to remold the material to your ear shape.
Hold in place for 5–10 minutes while they cool and re-set.
Tips for a better remold:
Always remold one ear at a time for best results
Avoid pressing the filter port into your ear canal—only shape the outer material
Hold still and be patient during cooling for a lasting fit
You can repeat this process multiple times without damaging the material. It’s part of what makes Decibullz one of the most adaptable and comfortable earplug systems on the market.
