How often should I replace the foam ear tips?Updated 16 days ago

The Max Isolation Foam Tips that come with your Decibullz Custom Molded Percussive Shooting Filters should be replaced regularly to maintain peak comfort, fit, and hearing protection.

Recommended Replacement Frequency:

  • Every 2 to 4 weeks with regular use

  • Immediately if they become dirty, misshapen, or lose elasticity

Why replacement matters:

Over time, foam tips naturally degrade from earwax, sweat, skin oils, and repeated compression. Worn tips may no longer expand fully, resulting in a poor seal and reduced noise reduction performance.

Signs it’s time to replace:

  • Tips no longer expand fully after rolling

  • The foam is stiff, cracked, or discolored

  • You notice reduced comfort or seal quality

  • Earplugs feel loose or fall out during movement

  • Foam has cracks or missing bits

Can foam tips be cleaned?

No. Foam tips are not washable. Attempting to clean them may damage the foam structure and reduce their effectiveness. For a washable option, use the included silicone tips.

Pro Tip:

Keep an extra set in your range bag or gear kit so you’re never stuck with worn-out tips in the field.
